Role & Responsibilities
As a Technical Product Owner (m/f/d) on the Payroll Core team you will drive the agile development of the Personio Payroll core towards our vision to become European leader HR management software for SMEs.

• Develop extensive knowledge of payroll processes and payroll data structures
• Deeply understand the technology behind our payroll systems and our HR platform to provide a hyper scalable and adaptable payroll solution
• Build and improve the core of our payroll engine which serves as a single source of truth for payroll and enables automation of payroll across countries
• Align your team around most relevant automation KPIs and goals in line with our overall payroll product vision
• Plan and execute the product roadmap based on an objectively prioritized backlog in collaboration with other payroll teams. Decompose complex problems and write clear specifications
• Manage product delivery with engineering in an agile setting and guide your team in all sprint activities

• At least 5 years of experience working on digital products in an agile environment
• At least 3 years of experience in working as Product Owner with cross-functional teams applying Scrum
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong self-organization and prioritization of tasks in an analytical manner
• Ability to work independently in a result-oriented way
• Strong technical background
• Fluency in English, German is a plus
