Personio is looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with innovative problem-solving skills fueled by a desire to design, build, and scale the infrastructure of one of Germany’s fastest-growing SaaS startups.
In this role, you will coach one or two of our cross-functional feature-based product teams to become self-reliant and autonomous to deploy their applications and experiment safely. With your technical expertise, your DevOps mindset and your collaborative spirit you will be able to pair with our engineering teams to build and scale their applications on our platform.
At the same time, as we are experiencing high growth in new users and a growing microservice architecture, you will develop and implement automated solutions within our environment that allows our infrastructure to serve as a foundation that our Product & Engineering teams can build upon.
Dein Profil
Role & Responsibilities
You are responsible for automating everything from A to Z using Terraform, Ansible, AWS lambda functions, etc.
You support your team of 5 SREs in monitoring our platform using logs, metrics, tracing, amongst other observability stacks such as ELK and NewRelic.
You advise product teams on topics such as automation and architecture.
Your core responsibilities include enhancing teams in regards to communication, collaboration and integration between software developers and infrastructure stakeholders in the software delivery lifecycle.
You thrive on enabling engineering teams with your DevOps mindset to fully own their services.
Job Requirements
3+ years production experience with AWS.
2+ years working experience in fast-scaling, agile SaaS environment as an SRE, or related ‘DevOps’ role.
Production experience with Docker.
Infrastructure automation experience with Terraform & container orchestration experience with Kubernetes.
Proven experience with microservice tooling.
Experience with CI/CD automation tools.
Knowledge of best practices in software engineering applied to web applications.
Confidence in coaching and onboarding team members and driving cross-team engineering initiatives.
Excellent English language skills (level C1/C2).
