Job description

You are looking for an exciting opportunity to work up to 20 hours per week during your studies and gain hands-on experience in payroll operations within a thriving start-up? As Working Student Payroll Operations (m/f/d) you will help us guarantee and establish smooth payroll processes. You will be responsible for various operational tasks within the following areas:


  • You actively drive and support the Personio Payroll by ensuring a correct and smooth payroll process for our customers

  • You will support the monthly payroll process of our customers by manually creating payslips and reports with our internal tools

  • You will be in charge of digitally communicating submissions to the social insurance and tax authorities

  • You will analyze payroll calculation results and critically compare it with our calculation results

  • You will support our monthly quality assurance process of created payslips and reports

Your profile

  • You are at least at the end of your Bachelor studies in the area of business administration, human resources, social sciences or a comparable field of study

  • You have a status as full-time student for the entire duration of the working student activity

  • You enjoy communicating with customers and the solution of their problems motivates you

  • You distinguish yourself through your structured way of working with which you also solve complex tasks in a solution-oriented way

  • You have very high standards towards your own work and communicate issues early on

  • You already gained experience in working with Excel and/or Google Sheet 

  • You speak fluent German and at least conversational English
